CONVERGE 2023 will be bringing the First Nations media industry together to learn, share and network on Ngunnawal/Ngambri country from 21-23 November 2023 under the guiding theme of OUR MEDIA, OUR VOICE.
MEETING TOGETHER >> MOVING IN ONE DIRECTION
NGULUWAY – YANHANHAGU DHULU NGUMBAAY
First Nations Media Australia’s annual CONVERGE event celebrates, showcases and recognises the essential role of the First Nations media industry in amplifying the voices, stories, and cultural narratives of First Nations peoples across Australia and abroad. First Nations media provides conduits for the expression, empowerment, and cultural preservation of First Nations communities.
CONVERGE is a vital opportunity to receive valuable sector updates, to network and to have your say in helping set the future direction of the First Nations media industry.
WHAT TO EXPECT
This year's CONVERGE program includes 3 days of curated conference content including a Keynote from Stan Grant, address from the Hon. Linda Burney, Minister for Indigenous Australians, showcases from First Nations Media Australia member organisations, industry presentations and panels, sector forums and opportunities to follow your interests with a range of break-out sessions to choose from over the course of CONVERGE 2023. An area of the Old Parliament House will be designated as a Trades Hall for the three-day event, allowing delegates an opportunity to talk with sponsors suppliers and stakeholders, and provide a break-out space for networking.
As well as the immersive opportunity offered by way of the CONVERGE Conference offerings, we will also join to celebrate the incredible sector achievements in the closing event, the 2023 First Nations Media Awards and Gala Dinner.
CONVERGE 2023 and the 2023 First Nations Media Awards and Gala Dinner will be held at Old Parliament House, 18 King George Terrace, Canberra, Australian Capital Territory 2600. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided daily during the conference.
